Bearing Capacity of Eccentrically Loaded Strip Footing on Geogrid Reinforced Sand

چکیده

This study aims to demonstrate the effects of geogrid reinforcement on bearing capacity strip footing under eccentric loading. Numerical analysis using finite element program called (PLAXIS 2D Professional v.8.2) are presented. The effect each depth ratio topmost layer (u/B), vertical distance between consecutive layers (h/B), number (N), and effective (d/B) were studied, where (B) is width. Also, combined load eccentricity (e/B), embedment ( f D /B) angle internal friction ( ) ultimate investigated.
